1987 yılında Mersin’de doğdu. 2011 yılında Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi Tekstil Mühendisliği Bölümü’nden mezun oldu. Uzun yıllar mesleğini devam ettiren sanatçı şuan tutkuyla yapmakta olduğu sanatına ilham veren yün materyali ile teknik olarak tanışmış oldu. Yaklaşık beş yıldır ortaya koyduğu eserlerle bir kişisel bir karma sergisi bulunmaktadır.
Doğal renkli yünlerin sadece iğnelenerek oluşturulduğu bu eserler, resim sanatında materyal kavramını farklılaştırarak bakış açısını genişlettiği gibi , oluşan doku, derinlik ve dokunma hissi, eseri görsellikten interaktif bir boyuta taşır.
Seçil Coşgun’un resimleri, doğanın ve canlı varlıkların ihtişamlı varoluşları ile insanın spiritüelliğini bir arada sunan fantastik, mitolojik ve yer yer minyatür anlatımı barındıran hikayelerden oluşur. Portrelerinde zamanın muazzam akıcılığına uyum sağlayan insanın, değişim ve gelişimi post prodüksiyon olarak , yaşamın başlangıcından bugüne kadar ki insanlık tarihinin tanıklık ettiği ve kendisiyle birlikte yaşamı bütünüyle etkileyen ve dönüştüren kimliğini keşfetme arayışını anlatır. Tarihsel dönemlerden ve kültürel bağlamlardan seçtiği imgeleri özgün bir dille modernize ederek izleyeni bu değişime tanık eder.

Born in Mersin in 1987. She graduated from Bursa Uludağ University Textile Engineering Department in 2011. The artist, who has been continuing her profession for many years, was technically introduced to the wool material that inspired her art, which she is now passionately doing. She has an individual and a group exhibition with the works she has produced for about five years
These works, in which natural colored wools are created by only needling, widen the point of view by differentiating the concept of material in the art of painting, as well as the texture, depth and sense of touch that take the work from visuality to an interactive dimension.
Seçil Coşgun’s paintings consist of fantastic, mythological and sometimes miniature stories that present the magnificent existence of nature and living beings and the spirituality of human beings. In her portraits, the human who adapts to the tremendous fluency of time tells his/her quest to discover, as post-production, his/her identity, which has been witnessed by the history of humanity from the beginning of life to the present, and which completely affects and transforms life with him/her. By modernizing the images chosen from historical periods and cultural contexts with a unique language, the audience witnesses this change.
